About the Role
As a Deputy Manager in Deloitte’s Cyber Detect & Respond (D&R) team, you’ll design, implement, and optimize SIEM use cases, build SOAR automation playbooks, and enhance threat detection and response capabilities. You’ll collaborate with global security teams, work directly with clients, and drive innovation in cybersecurity automation to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test SIEM use cases to detect security threats across enterprise environments.
- Configure and optimize SIEM rules, correlation logic, and alert thresholds based on threat intelligence.
- Develop and maintain parsers, connectors, and data normalization rules for accurate event correlation.
- Integrate various security platforms (EDR, ITSM, Firewalls, Threat Intel) with SOAR for automated workflows.
- Create and maintain automated playbooks to respond to recurring security incidents.
- Write automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript for SOAR integrations.
- Collaborate with SOC analysts, incident responders, and IT teams to enhance response efficiency.
- Continuously tune and optimize SIEM/SOAR configurations to reduce false positives.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all configurations, workflows, and tuning procedures.
- Lead and mentor cybersecurity analysts to ensure adherence to Deloitte’s standards of excellence.
Technical Skills Required
- Expertise in SIEM & SOAR platforms such as Splunk, Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, Cisco, and Netscout.
- Strong scripting proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript for automation.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and their integration with security tools.
- Experience translating MITRE ATT&CK TTPs into actionable use cases.
- Hands-on experience in SOC operations, incident management, and threat intelligence integration.
- Proven capability in log parsing, correlation, and enrichment.
- Strong knowledge of Network Security technologies – NBAD, Anti-APT, Anti-DDoS.
- OEM certifications (Cisco, Palo Alto, or Splunk) highly preferred.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.E/B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
- 6–9 years of experience in Cybersecurity Operations with focus on SIEM & SOAR implementation.
- Demonstrated experience managing and optimizing enterprise-level cyber defense platforms.
