About the Role

As Assistant Manager – Cyber: D&R, you will design, build, and optimize SIEM and SOAR solutions to detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents efficiently. You’ll collaborate with global cybersecurity teams, automate detection workflows, and drive innovation in threat detection and response (D&R).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SIEM use cases to detect targeted attacks and anomalies.
• Optimize SIEM configurations to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives.
• Design correlation rules and alerts aligned with threat intelligence and MITRE ATT&CK TTPs.
• Build and maintain parsers, connectors, and log ingestion rules for SIEM/SOAR tools.
• Automate incident response workflows using Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
• Integrate EDR, firewalls, ITSM (ServiceNow), and threat intelligence platforms into SOAR.
• Generate dashboards and reports on SIEM and SOAR performance metrics.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts and IT teams to tune alerts and align detection capabilities.
• Maintain detailed documentation for use cases, scripts, and playbooks.
• Evaluate and deploy new cybersecurity tools and technologies.

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong expertise in SIEM and SOAR platforms (Splunk, Palo Alto, Cisco, Netscout).
• Proficiency in security scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
• Experience configuring, tuning, and integrating SIEM/SOAR tools.
• Hands-on knowledge of RESTful APIs for tool integrations.
• Ability to convert MITRE ATT&CK TTPs into actionable detection rules.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• B.E / B.Tech (Tier 1 or 2) in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 4–6 years of Cybersecurity, SOC Operations, or SIEM Engineering experience.
• Relevant certifications (preferred but not mandatory):
  • Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate / CCNA Security
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate (PCCSA)
  • Splunk Certified Power User / Architect
  • CompTIA Security+ / CISSP / ECSA
