About the Role
As an Assistant Manager – SOC/EDR Solutioning, you will design, deploy, and optimize endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions to strengthen Deloitte’s cybersecurity defenses. You will work closely with the SOC team to enhance incident detection, minimize vulnerabilities, and ensure proactive endpoint protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions (e.g., Palo Alto Cortex XDR).
- Package and deploy EDR agents using centralized systems such as SCCM.
- Develop and enforce security policies, SOPs, and best practices for endpoint protection.
- Customize and tune detection rules to improve threat visibility and accuracy.
- Coordinate with IT and SOC teams to ensure seamless EDR integration.
- Conduct patch management and ensure endpoints are updated with the latest security measures.
- Prepare incident response documentation and audit reports as per compliance timelines.
- Evaluate and recommend new security tools and technologies.
- Lead user awareness and cybersecurity training sessions.
- Create and maintain knowledge bases and SOPs for agent installation and troubleshooting.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in Endpoint Security, SOC Operations, or EDR Deployment.
- Strong knowledge of Palo Alto EDR, EDR/SIEM integrations, and malware analysis.
- Hands-on experience with SCCM, Windows/Linux OS security, and threat detection frameworks.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
Education & Certifications
- B.E / B.Tech (Tier 1/2) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Preferred Certifications:
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate (PCCSA)
- Security+ / ECSA / GCFA / GCFE / CISSP
- Any EDR or SIEM vendor certification.
