Key Responsibilities
Copyright Compliance & Knowledge Management
- Develop and implement copyright and confidentiality policies across the organization.
- Design processes to streamline copyright content curation for KIM teams.
- Train and guide engineers on submitting technical content free of copyright restrictions.
- Review technical documents to ensure compliance with client contracts and confidentiality requirements.
- Support the KIM team in implementing best practices for copyright compliance.
Engineering Subscription Management
- Promote awareness of engineering subscription resources including standards, codes, and e-books.
- Ensure subscription content is easily discoverable via internal systems and AI tools.
- Develop user-friendly guides, training materials, and how-to documents for subscription resources.
- Organize training sessions on copyright, subscription access, and content policies.
Collaboration with Library & Technical Teams
- Support the UK-based library manager in subscription management, including negotiating with publishers and tracking usage.
- Assist the global library team in responding to user queries and maintaining technical resources.
- Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and external technical content relevant to engineering.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential
- 8+ years in library management, subscription management, or copyright compliance.
- Strong knowledge of copyright law in corporate settings.
- Experience in drafting and implementing copyright and confidentiality policies.
- Proven ability to manage external subscriptions and renewals effectively.
Desirable
- Familiarity with publishers/platforms such as Accuris, Emerald, Knovel.
- Ability to review client contracts for content sharing restrictions.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint pages, libraries, and lists.
Education
- Master’s degree in Library & Information Science, Information Management, Legal Studies, or related field.
- Higher degree or certifications in copyright law (preferred).
