Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of ~60 tax professionals, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Partner with offshore country tax managers to align team priorities with global stakeholders.
- Ensure seamless communication and integration between India Corporate Centre Tax team and global tax teams.
- Develop and execute the team’s strategic plan, monitoring individual and team goals.
- Drive strategic development and enhance team capabilities to deliver value-added functions.
- Provide technical guidance on complex tax matters, including international tax planning, transfer pricing, and compliance.
- Build strong relationships with senior management, business unit leaders, and global tax stakeholders.
- Identify process improvement opportunities, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the global Corporate Tax organization.
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and fair performance assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in tax or finance, ideally in financial services, with a proven record of managing large teams.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
- Excellent global stakeholder collaboration, management, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and drive change in complex environments.
- Proven experience in coaching and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and troubleshoot issues with integrity and risk awareness.
