Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end actuarial projects with a focus on quality, efficiency, and accurate deliverables.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for clients.
- Collect, validate, and input data for Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) claims models, Actuarial Value Plan Models, and Pricing Models.
- Analyze ad-hoc data and communicate actionable insights to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Conduct ad-hoc projects including plan changes, self-funded vs. fully insured analysis, and other client-specific assignments.
- Develop financial exhibits to support client reports and correspondence.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of group systems, products, and actuarial technologies.
- Review technical results independently, ensure audit trails and accuracy, and mentor colleagues.
- Actively participate in manager meetings, sharing project updates and insights.
- Support clients and colleagues by providing guidance on valuations and technical calculations.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality, client-ready deliverables.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with data analysis and actuarial modeling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with mentoring capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years in actuarial work, health insurance, consulting, or analytically intensive roles.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced Excel and data analysis tools
- Actuarial Modeling Suite or similar actuarial software
- Knowledge of health insurance and benefits actuarial principles
