Summary
PwC India is hiring an Associate in Azure Data Engineering (DE) for Data, Analytics & AI Advisory to help clients unlock actionable insights from complex datasets. In this data engineering role, you will design, implement, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage. Responsibilities
As an Azure Data Engineering Associate at PwC India, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Apache Spark.
- Implementing ETL processes to efficiently move and transform data across multiple sources.
- Applying data warehousing concepts for optimal data storage and retrieval.
- Utilizing Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, and other Azure services to manage data.
- Performing performance optimization and troubleshooting for complex data workflows.
- Collaborating with analytics and business intelligence teams to translate data into actionable insights.
- Contributing to technology innovation and process improvements within client projects.
Skills & Competencies
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong expertise in Azure Data Engineering (DE)
- Proficiency in data engineering pipelines, Azure services, and SQL
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Synapse Analytics
- Knowledge of data quality, architecture, and visualization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and handle large-scale projects
Qualifications
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology (B.Tech), or
- Master’s degree in Computer Applications (MCA) or Business Administration (MBA)
- Certifications (Optional): Relevant Azure certifications are a plus
- Years of Experience: 4–13 years in data engineering or business intelligence roles
