Deloitte India is seeking a Deputy Manager – Income Tax Laws in Delhi to lead corporate compliance, statutory reporting, and regulatory advisory for business tax functions. Key Responsibilities
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act 2013, RBI, SEBI, FEMA, and other applicable laws.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and filings with ROC, SEBI, and RBI.
- Ensure timely submission of annual returns, financial statements, and event-based forms.
Board & Committee Support
- Schedule, organize, and document Board, Committee, and General Meetings.
- Prepare agendas, notices, minutes, resolutions, and related documentation.
- Advise directors on corporate governance, duties, and legal obligations.
Corporate Governance & Legal Advisory
- Support implementation of good corporate governance practices.
- Monitor changes in legislation and ensure company-wide compliance.
- Liaise with legal advisors, regulators, and external stakeholders.
Secretarial Audit & Documentation
- Conduct Secretarial Audits and ensure timely rectification of observations.
- Maintain and update company policies, charters, and internal control documents.
M&A and Restructuring Support
- Assist in M&A, restructuring, and investment processes from a compliance perspective.
- Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal departments.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Companies Act, SEBI LODR, FEMA, and corporate tax laws.
- Expertise in statutory compliance, secretarial audits, and corporate governance.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MCA portal, Board portal tools, and compliance software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under strict deadlines.
- Integrity, confidentiality, and strong ethical judgment.
Qualifications
- Qualified Company Secretary (ACS) from ICSI.
- 1–5 years post-qualification experience in corporate secretarial or business tax functions.
- Experience with listed companies is preferred.
- Prior experience in law firms or compliance consulting is an added advantage.
