Responsibilities
As a Java Full Stack Technical Lead at Cognizant, you will:
- Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade software solutions using Java 8/11, React.js, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot.
- Architect and implement microservices-based solutions for scalability and reliability.
- Provide database expertise in SQL Server and PL/SQL for optimization and performance tuning.
- Use Kafka for real-time event streaming and system integration.
- Design and manage ETL processes for efficient data handling.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support frontend and third-party integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical features.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and best practice enforcement to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a strong engineering culture.
- Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations and security requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and system issues.
- Stay ahead of emerging full stack development trends and technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Must Have Skills:
- Java (8 or 11), Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Core
- React.js and modern front-end development experience
- SQL Server, PL/SQL, database design and tuning
- Kafka for messaging and data streaming
- REST Web Services and Microservices architecture
- ETL pipeline development and optimization
- Nice to Have Skills:
- Python scripting for automation and data processing
- Knowledge of Asset & Wealth Management domain
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Experience in hybrid work environments
