Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Manage: Lead a talented team of software engineers to build scalable and high-quality Azure services.
- Project Ownership: Manage end-to-end delivery, from stakeholder collaboration and design to roadmap planning and agile execution.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product managers, other engineering teams, and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver results.
- Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends in cloud technologies, open-source software (OSS), and DevOps practices to mentor your team and drive innovation.
- Customer Focus: Own service delivery with a focus on customer needs, security, privacy, scalability, and reliability.
- Team Growth: Mentor and develop engineers, fostering an inclusive environment built on care, respect, and teamwork.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: BE/BTech/BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in software development and shipping products using languages like C#, C++, Java, Go, or Python.
- People Management: At least 2 years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Technical Expertise: Strong problem-solving abilities and technical skills.
- Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and large-scale cloud service delivery.
- DevOps & OSS: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps tools, and working in Linux environments.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse, geographically distributed teams and manage cross-functional projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure Cloud: Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services or similar platforms.
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Understanding of SRE practices for building and maintaining scalable services.
- Mentoring Expertise: Demonstrated experience mentoring senior engineers and helping them grow professionally.
